ATG bolsters executive team with three new appointments

Auction Technology Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Pratyush Rai as Chief Technology Officer, Rob Cummings as Chief Product Officer, and Darren Ali as Chief People Officer.

These appointments reflect the company’s rapid growth trajectory and the strong progress it has made against its strategy, and further strengthen the company’s ability to pursue future opportunities as it continues to play a critical role in enabling the auction industry to transition online.

Pratyush Rai has over 20 years of technology experience and joins ATG from Kaplan North America, a global educational and training services provider, where he was Chief Technology Officer. He has an MBA from New York University and has also held leadership positions at Macmillan New Ventures, NBCUniversal and Amazon. A key focus of his work will be to develop the tools to accelerate the shift towards online-only auctions and to rapidly enable cross-listing across ATG’s marketplaces. Pratyush is based in New York.

Rob Cummings has been promoted to the newly created role of Chief Product Officer, bringing extensive experience from his role as Chief Technology Officer/Chief Product Officer at ATG’s North American marketplace LiveAuctioneers for the past seven years. He specialises in product and technology strategy, evaluation, high transaction volume, and technology M&A, and has previously held senior roles at Seamless and Mountain America. Based out of ATG’s development offices in Provo, Utah, Rob will play a key role in developing ATG’s value-add services as well as enhancing the bidding experience on the company’s marketplaces as they attract and retain an even larger pool of global bidders.

Darren Ali brings a wide range of international experience to the role of Chief People Officer, having worked in Singapore, New York, Budapest and the UK. He has previously held roles at firms including Calypso Technology and BlackRock, and has a strong track record of fostering high-quality employee experience and culture across privately-owned and public companies. His role will be critical as ATG grows organically and through ongoing strategic acquisitions. Darren is based in London.
