Our Leadership Team

John-Paul Savant

Chief Executive Officer

John-Paul joined ATG as CEO in February 2016, bringing over 18 years of experience in digital marketplaces and commerce.  He spent 10 years at eBay, where he served in a number of leadership roles, latterly as PayPal’s VP of Product, Experience, and Consumer Engagement for EMEA.  At PayPal, he was part of a leadership team that built the EMEA business from $30m in revenue to over $1.8 billion.  He also held leadership roles at other online businesses.  John-Paul’s most recent role before joining ATG was as CEO of Think Finance UK.  John-Paul began his career at JPMorgan in New York City after graduating from Georgetown University in Washington DC.  He earned his MBA at the University of Chicago.  A native San Franciscan, he has lived and worked in London for the last 13 years.

John-Paul is passionate about bringing online transformation to traditional industries.  His focus is on finding creative strategies to go after the opportunities that emerge amidst transformation and for building teams with the capabilities to execute those strategies.

Tom Hargreaves

Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined ATG in January 2018 as Group CFO. He joined from Yell, where, as CFO, he was a key member of the leadership team who led their digital transformation.

Prior to this Tom worked at Vodafone in the UK and across EMEA before becoming CFO of Vodafone Romania. In all, Tom has 10 years’ CFO experience, trained with Arthur Anderson, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA.

Tom is passionate about driving strategic transformation and building top-tier international teams, with extensive experience of both M&A and business funding.

Richard Lewis

Chief Operating Officer

Richard has been COO at ATG since 2012. He was part of the leadership team who led the launch of Live Bidding in 2006, the acquisition of Bidspotter.com in 2013 and Lot-tissimo.com in 2018.

Prior to becoming COO, Richard joined ATG as Marketing Director in 2000. He has since played a key role in bringing auctioneering online and driving the next evolution of the industry. A true voice of the industry, Richard was admitted to the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars in 2017.

Richard is passionate about the future of auctioneering and the technical intricacies supporting every aspect of this vision.

Badr Khan

Chief Technology Officer

Badrudin joined ATG in July 2018 from the luxury fashion ecommerce retailer MATCHESFASHION.COM, where he had been Head of Software Engineering and grew the team from 12 engineers to over 55.

Before joining MATCHESFASHION, Badrudin had held the same role at Marks and Spencer’s Digital Stores Group and has over 15 year’s experience in senior technology roles across a range of industries including technology, retail and ecommerce.

Badrudin is passionate about technology and innovation. He began coding at age 10 and in 2007 won Silicon Valley’s coveted Jolt Award. The Jolt Awards showcase commercial products that have "jolted" the software industry with their significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and more efficient.

Denise Hollway

Global Chief Human Resources Officer

Denise joined ATG as Global CHRO in April 2018. Prior to this Denise held HR roles within various companies across the media industry including ITN, Aljazeera English and News International. More recently, Denise lead the global HR team at PE backed, FiveTen Group.

Denise has worked across EMEA, LatAM and Asia Pac and now leads ATG HR across our UK, US and German offices.

Denise is passionate about driving employee engagement, strategic org design and creative talent acquisition.

Our Board

Colin Tenwick

Non-Executive Chairman

Colin was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of ATG in 2014.  Colin is a seasoned CEO, Chairman and Non-Executive Director with proven track record in building consensus in teams to achieve business transformation and sustained growth in the most challenging high tech business environments.  Colin holds the same role at Addison Lee Group, Wowcher and Picsolve.

Colin’s areas of expertise are primarily in technology including infrastructure software, operating systems, application technology, SaaS and digital data services and more recently, cloud based business and digital market models.

Anne Somers

Non-Executive Vice Chairman

Anne joined the Board of ATG as Non-Executive Vice Chairman in 2016. Prior to that Anne was CEO of the company from 2008 to 2016.

As Commercial Director she established thesaleroom.com in 2000, and launched Live Online Bidding in 2006. During her time as CEO she led the launch of i-Bidder.com in 2007 and the acquisition of BidSpotter in the USA in 2013. Anne has been Mistress of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars and is a Freeman of the City of London.

Tom Wrenn

Non-Executive Director

Tom is Head of ECI’s TMT sector team. Since joining ECI in 2006, he has worked with TMT investments including MiQ, IT Lab, Auction Technology Group, Avantia, Kelvin Hughes, CarTrawler, XLN, and CliniSys. He is currently on the board of MiQ, IT Lab, and Auction Technology Group. Previously, he worked at Close Brothers, where he advised a wide range of private equity and corporate clients on acquisitions and disposals. Tom initially trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte and has a degree in physics from Oxford University.

Ed Wass

Non-Executive Director

Ed acts as a non-executive director at a number of Mobeus investee companies, providing support with business planning and growth.

Previously Chief Investment Officer at Catapult Ventures, Ed has more than 15 years’ experience of helping SMEs to create and realise shareholder value. He started his career with PwC and has held a number of Finance Director roles including being part of an MBO team himself.
