Our Leadership Team

John-Paul Savant

Chief Executive Officer

John-Paul joined ATG as CEO in February 2016, bringing over 18 years of experience in digital marketplaces and commerce.  He spent 10 years at eBay, where he served in a number of leadership roles, latterly as PayPal’s VP of Product, Experience, and Consumer Engagement for EMEA.  At PayPal, he was part of a leadership team that built the EMEA business from $30m in revenue to over $1.8 billion.  He also held leadership roles at other online businesses.  John-Paul’s most recent role before joining ATG was as CEO of Think Finance UK.  John-Paul began his career at JPMorgan in New York City after graduating from Georgetown University in Washington DC.  He earned his MBA at the University of Chicago.  A native San Franciscan, he has lived and worked in London for the last 13 years.

John-Paul is passionate about bringing online transformation to traditional industries.  His focus is on finding creative strategies to go after the opportunities that emerge amidst transformation and for building teams with the capabilities to execute those strategies.

Tom Hargreaves

Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined ATG in January 2018 as Group CFO. He joined from Yell, where, as CFO, he was a key member of the leadership team who led their digital transformation.

Prior to this Tom worked at Vodafone in the UK and across EMEA before becoming CFO of Vodafone Romania. In all, Tom has 10 years’ CFO experience, trained with Arthur Anderson, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA.

Tom is passionate about driving strategic transformation and building top-tier international teams, with extensive experience of both M&A and business funding.

Richard Lewis

Chief Operating Officer

Richard has been COO at ATG since 2012. He was part of the leadership team who led the launch of Live Bidding in 2006, the acquisition of Bidspotter.com in 2013 and Lot-tissimo.com in 2018.

Prior to becoming COO, Richard joined ATG as Marketing Director in 2000. He has since played a key role in bringing auctioneering online and driving the next evolution of the industry. A true voice of the industry, Richard was admitted to the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars in 2017.

Richard is passionate about the future of auctioneering and the technical intricacies supporting every aspect of this vision.

Badr Khan

Chief Technology Officer

Badrudin joined ATG in July 2018 from the luxury fashion ecommerce retailer MATCHESFASHION.COM, where he had been Head of Software Engineering and grew the team from 12 engineers to over 55.

Before joining MATCHESFASHION, Badrudin had held the same role at Marks and Spencer’s Digital Stores Group and has over 15 year’s experience in senior technology roles across a range of industries including technology, retail and ecommerce.

Badrudin is passionate about technology and innovation. He began coding at age 10 and in 2007 won Silicon Valley’s coveted Jolt Award. The Jolt Awards showcase commercial products that have "jolted" the software industry with their significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and more efficient.

Andy Furlong

Chief Marketing Officer

Andy joined ATG in April 2020 from the global sightseeing operator Big Bus Tours where he had been Executive Vice President of Marketing and E-Commerce. Andy’s role was central in the digital transformation and rapid expansion of that business including the fourfold growth of online ticket revenue in 4 years.

Before joining Big Bus, Andy had more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and e-commerce within the travel industry, holding director level roles in car hire, cruising, skiing and tour operating at well-known brands like Europcar, Tui and Neilson.

Andy is passionate about driving business success through the combination of well targeted and executed marketing activity and best in class customer experience. His teams have won a number of digital marketing, web and app design awards.

Robert Zielinski

Chief Human Resources Officer

Robert joined ATG in May 2020 from Global PMI Partners, where he served as Senior Executive Advisor for Human Resources.

Before that, Robert gained extensive international experience as a C-suite executive managing teams and projects throughout Europe as well as China, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Kuala Lumpur. Over the course of his career, Robert’s experience has spanned a wide range of industries, including grocery, sporting goods manufacturing, and automotive.

Robert is passionate about aligning individual goals with company objectives to create an energized and successful team.

Dan Pennington

SVP of Sales, North America

Dan has been with ATG since 2011 occupying a variety of commercial leadership roles. Previously heading up the Industrial & Commercial Division in Europe, he relocated to the US in 2018 as Managing Director of BidSpotter.com.

Having spent his entire career in technology and digital marketing, prior to ATG Dan worked in Cambridge, UK and Washington, D.C. for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). There he specialized in aligning digital marketing campaigns with the strategic goals of multi-national scientific corporations throughout EMEA, APAC and North America.

Dan brings a deep understanding of eCommerce best practice and is committed to helping auctioneers optimize the online aspect of their business.

Jacqueline Glassman

SVP of Operations, North America

Jacqueline has been with Proxibid since 2009 and joined the ATG executive team in February 2020.

Jacqueline led the acquisition of Wavebid in 2018 and was part of the leadership team responsible for the merger of Proxibid and ATG in 2020. As a member of Proxibid’s executive team since 2015, she has experience across all areas of the business leading strategic programs and customer-facing initiatives within operations, risk, payments, and product management teams.

Jacqueline loves to turn people’s natural talents and curiosities into meaningful career opportunities by leveraging technology.

Marika Clemow

VP of Corporate Development

Marika began her ATG career in 2010 and has held roles across commercial and operational departments. She joined the executive team in 2017 as the Global Director of Product and Operations, where she was responsible for product leadership and development cadence alongside the unification of operational processes globally. Following ATG’s merger with Proxibid.com in 2020, Marika has lead the integration of the two companies.

With more than a dozen years’ experience in the auction industry. Marika is passionate about making auctions more accessible to consumers and end users through technological innovation.

She was a finalist for the Everywoman Innovation and Sustainability Award in 2015 and won the Antiques Young Guns Award in recognition of her contribution to the art and antiques industry in 2014.

Morgan Seigler

Non-Executive Director

Morgan is co-head of TA's EMEA Technology Group. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Access Group, Auction Technology Group, Eurowag, Flashtalking, ITRS, Netrisk and thinkproject, and is an Active Investor of Compusoft and RLDatix. Morgan formerly served on the Boards of or was actively involved with 10bis, AVG Technologies, Bigpoint, CMOSIS, eCircle, ION Trading, LIST, M and M Direct and SmartStream Technologies.  Morgan received a BA degree in Economics from Yale University and an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Stefan Dandl

Non-Executive Director

Stefan focuses on investments in technology companies in EMEA and leads TA’s effort in German-speaking countries across sectors. Stefan serves on the Board of Directors of Auction Technology Group, Compusoft and thinkproject. He formerly served on the Board of 10bis and LIST. Prior to joining TA in 2013, Stefan worked in the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan. He received a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Chris Watt

Non-Executive Director

Chris Watt is a member of the ECI Investment Committee and has overall responsibility for ECI's portfolio and exit strategy as well as investor relations. He joined ECI in 1999 from Arthur Andersen where he specialised in private equity transactions. His current and past investments include KB Associates, Travel Chapter, CPOMS, Great Rail Journeys, Reed & Mackay, CarTrawler, Nuaire, Enviros, Kirker, and Hoseasons. He graduated in chemistry from Oxford University and holds an ACA.
