She says that in addition to costs such as fees, removals and insurance, the cost of furniture can take home buyers by surprise.

To save money, Bloomfield says, “don’t forget about live auctions. Find your local auction house on thesaleroom.com and you can buy up antique and second-hand furnishings for a steal.”
